Our Stylebook
At Veredicto, we classify claims and media using a rigorous, transparent methodology. Our rating system reflects the strength of evidence and the degree to which claims are supported by verified facts. Each rating is determined through careful research, source verification, and consultation with our network of legitimate partner fact-checking organizations.
This stylebook explains how we categorize the claims and content we verify. Understanding these categories helps readers evaluate information quality and recognize common patterns of misinformation.

Correction Policy
Veredicto is committed to correcting errors quickly and openly. If a factual mistake is found in a published fact-check — by our team or reported by a reader — we correct it in the original piece and note clearly what was changed, what the text previously said, and when the correction was made. We distinguish between corrections of errors and updates prompted by new developments, and label both so readers always know what changed and why.
We welcome reader challenges to our published verdicts. If new evidence or a well-founded argument raises a legitimate question about a rating, we review the investigation and revise it when warranted. Any change to a verdict is documented within the original article — including the prior rating, the revised conclusion, and a brief explanation. We do not remove superseded ratings; they remain part of the record alongside the correction.
