Veredicto is a nonpartisan fact-checking publication committed to separating truth from falsehood in political and public affairs. We assess claims made by public figures and institutions, evaluate the evidence, and publish clear, sourced verdicts available to anyone.

Where does Veredicto's revenue come from?

Veredicto operates predominantly on income from programmatic digital advertising and small-scale contributions. We also receive compensation from media companies and publishers that license and republish our verified content.

Do Veredicto's advertisers or vendors have any say in editorial decisions?

No. Advertisers and commercial vendors have no communication with our editorial staff and have no influence over the claims we choose to investigate or the conclusions we reach. All editorial decisions are made exclusively by our journalists.

Does Veredicto carry political advertising or accept money from political organizations?

No. Veredicto does not accept political advertising. We also refuse funding from political parties, campaign organizations, and any group engaged in advocacy for a particular political cause or candidate.

How much can an individual or organization contribute to Veredicto?

Veredicto accepts voluntary contributions of up to $100 from individual readers and from nonpartisan organizations. Contributions support our operations and are entirely independent of our editorial output.

What does Veredicto spend its funding on?

The bulk of Veredicto's budget is dedicated to staff pay and the technical systems needed to publish and maintain our journalism. Other expenditures include legal services and the ordinary costs of running an independent newsroom.
